Syd Birrell is an accomplished musician and the founder of the Peterborough Singers. He also helped create the internationally recognized James Fund for Neuroblastoma Research when his young son, James, was diagnosed with cancer. James’ courageous battle and his fearless love of soapbox racing has inspired many families here in Peterborough and all over the world.

His label, Seventh Fire Records, represents local talent like Melissa Payne and The Express and Co, and he’s no stranger to the recording studio. So it’s not surprising he has a thing or two to say about the music scene here in Peterborough and the success of musicians like Three Days Grace and Serena Ryder.
